EFDA ON THE STATE BOARD OF DENTISTRY

On December 16, 2011 ADAA/PDAA member Terry Groody was sworn in as the first Expanded Function Dental Assistant to serve on the PA State Board of Dentistry. It took 5 years in the legislative process but we now have a representative for dental assistants on the Board. Thank you and congratulations Terry.

PDAA MEETING A HUGE SUCCESS

The PDAA held our meeting and educational seminars on November 4 and 5, 2011 in Lancaster . Over 100 dental assistants participated in our seminars, supported our basket raffles, attended our business meeting and dental assistant social as well as donated to an area food pantry and the American Red Cross. We had a fantastic time and look forward to seeing you all again when Philadelphia hosts our next meeting and seminar in June 2012.

The Pennsylvania Dental Assistants Association would like to thank everyone who donated food and healthcare items at our November meeting in Lancaster. We are very proud to announce that we donated 53.8 pounds of food to the Hempfield Area Food Pantry, Landisville. We also donated supplies to the American Red Cross, Totes of Hope Campaign for homeless veterans. To make additional donations to the Totes of Hope Campaign please call 717-257-1822 ext 222.
